Greetings from WAMBO
Message from Mayor Randy Hope
On behalf of Council and the citizens of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone attending WAMBO; the Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing, taking place in the community of Wallaceburg, from August 12 to 14, 2016.
Celebrating its 28th year, WAMBO is one of Canada’s largest transportation shows and promises outstanding displays of antique boats, fire trucks, cars, motorcycles and tractors. Festivities begin Friday evening with an opening ceremony, BBQ, live entertainment and the Terry Glover Memorial Cruise. The fun continues all day Saturday with lots of family friendly events, including the annual toy and model show, Art on the Boardwalk, craft tables, fire truck and police boat parades, a soapbox derby and much, much more! On Sunday, everyone is invited to attend an interdenominational church service in downtown Wallaceburg.
Special thanks to the organizing committee for generously volunteering their time. Their dedication to making WAMBO a successful and enjoyable event for everyone year after year, is truly appreciated.
Come out and join in the excitement!
Randy R. Hope, Mayor / CEO
